Synergid Commercial, Inc formed its beginnings with a
discussion between two good friends, a sister and
brother, sitting at their father's kitchen table,
talking about what kind of work environment they would
like to create. They came up with the word "synergid"
as the name of this company because it means
"working together."
That discussion occurred many years ago. Two thriving
companies have emerged from it, one of which is Synergid
Commercial, Inc.

Professor of Construction and Director of the
Construction Engineering Technology program at
Indiana University—Purdue University at Fort
Wayne.
- Has worked in construction since 1993.
- Is a member of the United States Green
Build Council.
- Founding member and president of the
Northeast Indiana Green Build Coalition. The
purpose of the NEIGBC is to educate other
construction professionals as well as
business owners and the general public on
Green Building and the benefits of building
high performance buildings. Everyone is
welcome to attend our monthly educational
meetings. The schedule is available at

- Co-Chair of Mayor Graham Richard’s Green
Ribbon Commission. The Commission has been
charged with the task of setting measurable
goals in the area of energy use and air
quality for the city of Fort Wayne.
- Has taken Green Build classes for
existing commercial buildings and for
existing commercial interiors, as well as
the LEED’s (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) Intermediate class.
- Undergraduate degrees in Psychology and
Philosophy.
- Graduate degree in Philosophy.
- Available to area groups and businesses
for presentations on the topic of Green
Building.
